You will need to have good money-management skills and good spending skills so that you can plan a fundraiser that does not cost you more than it makes.

First, you want to present a resume with lots of volunteer and fundraising work so that the employer can see how serious you are going to be about the job that you are going to do. Next, you want to be sure that you have listed the right experience and education for the job, and if you have any experience with the specific service or cause that the job deals with you want to highlight that as well. Make sure that your references can talk about your project management and organization skills, and when you are doing your interview be courteous and polite and show a lot of interest in the job that you are being asked to interview for.
